I’ve realized that I am quite behind in our Readers Theaters from each week, so here are the last four weeks to get us caught up. We won’t be doing Readers Theater this week, as the upper grades are taking TCAPs so we won’t have literacy this week. Enjoy our videos!

Here is our Readers Theater from this week, performing Seasons.
This week as we start our spelling work, we will switch up our homework a little big. Here is what we will do each night:
Monday: Readers Theater, Write each spelling word 3 times
Tuesday: Readers Theater, Write each spelling word in rainbow words
Wednesday: Readers Theater, Write a sentence using each spelling word (even the challenge words!)
Thursday: We will be performing Readers Theater and taking our tests!
Friday: No School
We start spelling this week in literacy and I am excited to share with you all the different tools that we are going to use to help us in this new endeavor. We also have a short week this week, so we will be having both our spelling test and our weekly skills test on Thursday this week. I’ve included our Flipchart as a PDF so you can see what we will be working on this week. Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Here is our readers theater for this week. They did a great job with extra lines this week while reading The Bunnies and the Fox!
This is our Readers Theater for October 14, 2011. We read A Party for Bob this week:
Today we wrote journals about our favorite activities at school. When we write in our journals, we follow a few simple rules:
1. Put the date and draw a line across the page
2. Write 3 sentences about the topic
3. Use capital letters and ending marks
4. Make sure you have finger spaces between all your words
5. Re-read your sentence to make sure that it makes sense
